  • MONDAY, 6/12/2023 at 4:30PM – Demand Justice for #AnthonyMcClain at the Pasadena City Council Meeting on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/161482446 – Call in to the Pasadena City Council meeting and demand the City Council fire the police officers who murdered #AnthonyMcClain following a traffic stop.   • TUESDAY, 6/13/2023 at 9:30AM – Los Angeles Police Commission Meeting IN PERSON at LAPD HQ 100 W. 1st St. – Come out IN PERSON and demand that the so-called oversight body of the LAPD actually hold killer cops accountable! Make your voice heard during public comment and demand Chief Michel Moore’s resignation and #DefundThePolice. Coalition talking points here. 

  • TUESDAY, 6/13/23 at 2PM – Police Free LAUSD Rally at LAUSD HQ 333 S. Beaudry Ave. – Join Students Deserve for a student-led action at the LAUSD headquarters to DEMAND that the School Board VOTE YES on their resolution to push Superintendent Carvalho to implement community-based safe passage programs WITHOUT police!

  • TUESDAY, 6/13/23 at 6:30PM – Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell IN PERSON at Torrance City Hall 3031 Torrance Blvd. – WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN! Because of BLMLA’s organizing with the family of #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell, uplifting the racist horrors within Torrance PD, the Torrance Police officers responsible for the death of have been decertified due to the Kenneth Ross Jr. Decertification Act (also BLMLA legislation!). Matthew Concannon, Anthony Chavez, and Brian Kawamoto are the killer cops who have been stripped of their badge, gun and duties. Come out IN PERSON and stand with the family of #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell in continuing to demand the council deliver justice in his name by meeting establish a civilian oversight commission.   • WEDNESDAY, 6/14/2023 at 4PM – #EndPoliceAssociations Rally at 1313 W. 8th St. – Bring your voices, energy, and commitment to building a just and free world, where police associations no longer have control over public safety policy. Wear a mask! Snacks and water provided. This week, we will also be celebrating Prince’s Birthday - wear purple! Streamed live on Instagram at @blmlosangeles.

  • SUNDAY, 6/18/2023 11AM-6PM - AfricaTown (Leimert Park) - Celebrate Juneteenth as Black Freedom Day with Africa Town Coalition! BLMLA is a partner and is scheduled to speak at 2pm.
