  • MONDAY, 4/5/2021 at 5PM PT – National People’s Budget Call – All around the country, people are demanding a People’s Budget that centers resources and services for our people, not police. If you are part of a People’s Budget collective, register for the call! Sign up at peoplesbudgetla.com/national.

  • TUESDAY, 4/6/2021 at 9:30am – Los Angeles Police Commission Meeting on Zoom at https://lapd.zoom.us/s/289225944 – LAPD just opened fire on another person last Friday in MacArthur Park. Let’s tell the Police Commission that “Moore Must Go!” Demand that they take action against Chief Moore for the recent cluster of LAPD shootings, the LAPD violence against the unhoused community and allies in Echo Park, and his running list of crimes against the people of Los AngelesCoalition talking points here.   • TUESDAY, 4/6/21 at 7pm – White People 4 Black Lives Instagram Live at @WP4BL – Dahlia Ferlito from White People 4 Black Lives will be in conversation with our own Melina Abdullah talking about the campaign to #EndPoliceAssociations. Tune in to learn more about what police associations are (They are NOT unions!), how they function to protect law enforcement from accountability, and what people can do to join us in the fight.

  • TUESDAY, 4/6/21 at 7PM – Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell at TorranceCA.gov and facebook.com/TorranceCA/ - To make a public comment during the meeting, call 310-618-2404 or you can email your comment in by 3pm to CouncilMeetingPublicComment@TorranceCA.gov. Please make comments demanding justice for #ChristopherDeandreMitchell, who was killed on December 9, 2018 by Torrance police officers Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon. The officers still haven’t been fired or prosecuted and Torrance still has no civilian review board to hold police accountable.

  • WEDNESDAY, 4/7/21 AT 3PM (and every Wednesday) – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – We’re taking down the police associations that function as organized crime, enabling killer cops, bullying and bribing elected officials, and criminalizing our people. Gather in front of the ACLU building…directly across the street from the headquarters of the Los Angeles Police Protective League. Bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication. 

  • THURSDAY, 4/8/2021 7PM – This Is Not a Drill! “Dealing with Distractions and Keeping Our Eyes on the Prize” facebook.com/blmla – Let’s address how to effectively stay focused on the work, while dealing with movement drama and “people who work for entities other than the people.” Join Brother Billion (AfricaTown Coalition), General Jeff (Skid Row activist and Hip Hop pioneer) and Jasmyne Cannick (journalist and political strategist).   • Sunday, 4/11/2021 7PM, BLMLA General Meeting, Location TBA – Mark your calendars for the first in-person meeting of 2021! The topic for the meeting will be “Organizing for Uprising.” Open to new folks, returning members, ALL Black folks, non-Black allies, youth, elders, and families. Closed to law enforcement, media, elected officials, and haters. Light dinner provided. More to come!
