  • MONDAY, 9/20/2021 at 4:30PM – Pasadena City Council Meeting on zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/161482446 – The family of #AnthonyMcClain has requested BLMLA support as they struggle for justice in Anthony’s name. Make public comment for the Pasadena City Council meeting at 4:30pm and demand that Council: 1) Call for the immediate firing and prosecution of Officer Edwin Dumaguindin 2) Accept the resignation of Police Chief Perez EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, and 3) Remove City Manager Steve Mermell.   • TUESDAY, 9/21/2021 at 9:30AM – Los Angeles Police Commission Meeting on Zoom at https://lapd.zoom.us/s/289225944 – Last week four LAPD officers were charged with falsifying field interview cards and entering people they stopped into gang databases. Last year six other officers were charged with doing the same thing. This is Chief Michel Moore’s LAPD. Make public comment to demand the commission #FireChiefMoore! Coalition talking points here.   • TUESDAY, 9/21/2021 at 12 Noon – URGENT Call to Action to Stop the Racist Deportations and Violence against Haitian Migrants at the Texas Border in front of Department of Homeland Security and Immigration, 300 N. Los Angeles St., DTLA – Stand up against the outrageous violence against Haitian migrants at the Texas border! U.S. Border patrol is riding on horseback and beating Black folks with whips. Stand up and fight back! Get in these streets and use the toolkit to call on the Biden administration to act.

  • WEDNESDAY, 9/22/2021 at 4PM*** (and every Wednesday) – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – NEW 4PM START TIME! Meet us right at 4PM for a press conference announcing a lawsuit filed against LAPD for the 2020 swatting of BLMLA co-founder Melina Abdullah and her children. Our theme this week is “Stop LAPD Violence”...stop them from killing our people and stop them from brutalizing, terrorizing, and harassing our folks...including our organizers. Police associations operate like organized crime. They use corruption, bullying and bribing, to steal resources away from our communities and into the police departments that terrorize and brutalize our community members. Every week we gather in beloved community to raise our fists in front of the LAPPL to #EndPoliceAssociations. Wear masks and bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication.
