·     Tuesday, 10/20/2020 at 9:30AM – Los Angeles Police Commission Meeting on Zoom at https://lapd.zoom.us/s/289225944 – 734 complaints of racial bias against LAPD were filed in 2019. After LAPD investigated itself, 0 were sustained. In fact, a preliminary review of reports seems to indicate that LAPD has not sustained a racial bias complaint since 2013. ·     Tuesday, 10/20/2020 7PM Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell at TorranceCA.gov and facebook.com/TorranceCA/ - To make a public comment during the meeting, call 310-618-2404 or you can email your comment in by 3pm to torrancecameetingpublicomment@gmail.com. Please make comments demanding justice for #ChristopherDeandreMitchell, who was killed on December 9, 2018 by Torrance police officers Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon. The officers still haven’t been fired or prosecuted and Torrance still has no civilian review board to hold police accountable.

·     Wednesday, 10/21/2020 at 2:30PM – Press Conference Demanding CA Attorney General Investigate LA County Sheriff for Violence and Corruption, 211 W. Temple, DTLA – Join the families of #FrederickWilliams, #DijonKizzee, #AnthonyVargas, #RyanTwyman, #JohnHorton, the ACLU, National Lawyers Guild, and Black Lives Matter to demand that the state Attorney General, Xavier Becerra launch an investigation into the violence and corruption of the LA County Sheriff. The AG has the power to not only investigate, but remove authority from LASD.

·     Wednesday, 10/21/2020 at 3PM – #JackieLaceyMustGo Demonstration and March to the Polls, meet at Hall of (In)Justice, 211 W. Temple, DTLA – Bring your ballot and wear your walking shoes! We’ll rally with the families of those killed by police, lifting up the names and Spirits of the 622 people killed by police on DA Jackie Lacey’s watch. Together we’ll take a short walk to a ballot drop off location and VOTE HER OUT!

Special Debate Watch and Post-Mortem on facebook.com/blmla – Let’s watch the final presidential debate together, talk crap, and then engage in post-debate convo with our own Dr. Melina Abdullah, Rahje Branch, and Dr. Wendy Smooth of Ohio State University.
