FRIDAY, 11/25/2022-1/1/2023 – #BlackXmas – It’s our annual campaign to divest from white-supremacist capitalism and #BuildBlack, #BuyBlack, and #BankBlack. We need everyone to pitch in as we make this the best #BlackXmas ever…including providing a comprehensive list of Black-led revolutionary organizations, identifying Black businesses that benefit the community, and moving our money out of white corporate banks that finance our oppression. Of course, there will be a big protest to close out the season! You in? For more visit blackxmas.org.
Recap:
Our weekly #EndPoliceAssociations protest continued at 1313 W. 8th St., across the street from the Los Angeles Police Protective League and in front of the People’s Mural. We discussed the beginning of the #BlackXmas season and why we must reject white capitalism and circulate our dollars within our own communities.
Last Saturday’s This Is Not A Drill discussed what’s going on in City Hall and the people’s demand that #KevinDeLeonMustGo. The conversation was hosted by BLMLA’s own Joseph Williams, with Kim Holmes in the co-host chair and BLMLA members Matyos Kidane and Jason Reedy as guests. Missed it? Watch here.
Thank you to those who have been sending us tips on where in the world Kevin De Léon is! We’ve followed up on a couple of leads but he continues to duck and hide from the people. Keep sending tips to our DM on instagram @blmlosangeles and on twitter @BLMLA and also text our tip hotline 562-285-6578.
