This Week’s BLMLA Actions/Events (9/5/2022-9/12/2022):

  • WEDNESDAY, 9/7/2022 at 4PM – #EndPoliceAssociations rally, 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – Honor the workers of real unions this Labor Week by demanding police associations be removed from the House of Labor. Police associations are used to break up union strikes and shield killer cops from accountability. Come out and raise a fist to the Los Angeles Police Protective League every Wednesday at 4pm. Wear masks and bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication. Streamed live on Instagram at @blmlosangeles.

  • THURSDAY, 9/9/2022 10-11AM – Twitter Storm for #AndrewJosephIII to #EndQualifiedImmunity – Join the global twitter storm in the name of #AndrewJosephIII, who was just 14-years-old when he was killed as a result of sheriffs misconduct in Tampa, Florida on February 7, 2014. Qualified immunity has been used to block accountability at every turn. Only eight-and-a-half-years later will the Joseph family finally get their day in court, which commences next week. For our #MoreThanAHashtag segment we’ll be speaking with the parents of #AndrewJosephIII, who will finally have their day in court after 8 ½ years of fighting for justice.
