  • MONDAY, 7/12/2021 at 4:30PM – Pasadena City Council Meeting on zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/161482446 – The family of #AnthonyMcClain has requested BLMLA support as they struggle for justice in Anthony’s name. Make public comment for the Pasadena City Council meeting at 4:30pm and demand that Council: 1) Call for the immediate firing and prosecution of Officer Edwin Dumaguindin 2) Accept the resignation of Police Chief Perez EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, and 3) Remove City Manager Steve Mermell.   • TUESDAY, 7/13/2021 at 7PM – Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell at TorranceCA.gov and facebook.com/TorranceCA/ – We need all hands on deck to call in to the Torrance City Council meeting to demand they 1) Fire Torrance police officers Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon for the murder of #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell, and 2) Establish a civilian oversight commission of over Torrance PD. To make a public comment during the meeting, call 310-618-2404 or you can email your comment in by 3pm to CouncilMeetingPublicComment@TorranceCA.gov.

  • WEDNESDAY, 7/7/2021 at 3PM (and every Wednesday) – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – Stand with the families of those killed by police against the body that protects their murderers and hinder accountability. This week’s action will celebrate 8 years of Black Lives Matter, honor the victories and the beautiful struggle we must continue. Wear masks and bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication.   • SUNDAY, 7/18/2021 at 12PM – Black Lives Matter Youth Vanguard Political Education Camp Finale at Leimert Park, 3333 W. 43rd Place – Calling all youth of color, middle school through college! Join the Youth Vanguard for the final gathering of our 6-week political education camp, with guest speakers, art activities, community building, and food.
