Ongoing

  • EVERYDAY - Call City Councilman Paul Krekorian at 818-755-7676 – Tell him to “calendar the Mike Bonin motion” to reallocate City funds away from hiring 250 more LAPD officers in order to fund needed community resources.

  • EVERYDAY, 10AM-5PM – BLMLA x Museum of Social Justice Exhibit “New Black City: A World Without Police” 115 Paseo De La Plaza (across from Union Station) – Black Lives Matter-Los Angeles and the Museum of Social Justice are proud to take you on a journey through the history of BLMLA (the first of Black Lives Matter chapters). The exhibit radically imagines a world without police and encourages us to dream of a better world where we invest in the people and not into a system that destroys Black communities. Come out and view all Black art, paintings, photographs, artifacts, and add to the community altar honoring those whose lives were stolen by the police. Live performances every weekend.  If you’d like to volunteer to be a docent please sign up at this link. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4baea929a4f8c61-newblack
