· Daily 2/1-2/28/2021 – Black Lives Matter/Scholars for Black Lives Black History Month Offering – More than social media posts, each day during Black History Month some of the leading Black radical intellectuals will offer a piece of political education on the movements, struggles, people, and history that are foundational as we build Black futures. This is a partnership with Scholars for Black Lives. View and repost every day from Black Lives Matter’s Instagram @blklivesmatter.

The National Police Foundation “independent assessment” of LAPD violence during last summer is anything but “independent.” Bought and paid for by the LAPD’s non-profit, $350k hidden from sight by LA Police Commission. Coalition talking points here. Please use the “raise hand” function to speak. To participate by phone, call (855) 880-1246, Meeting ID: 289 225 944. Press *9 to be put in the queue for public comment.
· Tuesday, 2/9/2021 12-1PM – Students Deserve Twitter Storm for Black Students – LAUSD School Board will be voting on how to reinvest the $25 million that WE made them cut from school police in June. District administrators are back-pedaling on their commitment to invest those dollars in Black students. Tell LAUSD to #FundBlackFutures! Toolkit here!
· Tuesday, 2/9/2021 7PM – Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell at TorranceCA.gov and facebook.com/TorranceCA/ - To make a public comment during the meeting, call 310-618-2404 or you can email your comment in by 3pm to CouncilMeetingPublicComment@TorranceCA.gov. Please make comments demanding justice for #ChristopherDeandreMitchell, who was killed on December 9, 2018 by Torrance police officers Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon. The officers still haven’t been fired or prosecuted and Torrance still has no civilian review board to hold police accountable. Police Chief Berg is “retiring.”
