  • MONDAY, 4/17/2023 at 11AM – Los Angeles Criminal Courts Building 210 W. Temple St. LA, CA 90012 – Last week District Attorney George Gascon announced charges against the two Torrance police officers who shot and killed #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell in December 2018. Join the family of #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell, Black Lives Matter- Los Angeles organizers and allies, and the PLC Law Group, as the officers appear in court four years after Christopher was killed by Torrance cops Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon.

  • MONDAY, 4/17/2023 at 4:30PM – Demand Justice for #AnthonyMcClain at the Pasadena City Council Meeting on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/161482446 – Call in to the Pasadena City Council meeting and demand justice for #KendrecMcDade and demand the City Council fire the police officers who murdered #AnthonyMcClain.   • TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY 4/18, 4/19 & 4/21/2023 at 10AM – City Council Meeting at 200 N. Main St. – Come out to the city council meetings to raise your voice during public comment, at city hall every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9:30am. We demand Kevin de Léon RESIGN immediately following his racist remarks in the audio tape leak scandal. Racists should NOT be allowed to make decisions on policy. Stand with community organizers and uplift that business cannot go on as usual while racists sit on the council. *You must have proof of COVID vaccination and ID to enter City Hall.

  • WEDNESDAY, 4/19/2023 at 4PM – #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St. – Last week, news broke that the executive director of a police association in California was placed on leave and is facing federal charges after “allegedly” importing drugs from overseas and distributing them throughout the country! THIS is why we say #EndPoliceAssociations… And why we need you to join us at our weekly action. Bring your voices, your energy, and your commitment to building a just and free world, where police associations no longer have control over public safety policy. Wear a mask!   • SATURDAY, 4/22/2023 8-10AM – This Is Not a Drill! on KBLA Talk 1580AM or facebook.com/BLMLA – Audrena Redmond of Black Lives Matter-Long Beach and BLM-Grassroots will guest host live from Baltimore to discuss the State of the Black World Conference. Kim Holmes in the cohost chair.
