  • MONDAY, 3/21/2022 at 4:30PM – Demand Justice for #AnthonyMcClain at the Pasadena City Council Meeting on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/161482446 – This Thursday will mark 10 years since the life of #KendrecMcDade was stolen by the Pasadena Police Department when he was just 19 years old. Call in to the City Council meeting and demand justice for #KendrecMcDade and demand the City Council fire the police officers who murdered #AnthonyMcClain.   • TUESDAY, 3/22/2022 at 5PM – National People’s Budget Call on Facebook.com/BLMLA –  Tune in to the National People’s Budget call, hosted by the People’s Budget LA coalition, for a discussion about the three #PeoplesBudgetLA pledges for candidates running for office: #NoCopMoney, #NoNewCops, #ParticipatoryBudgeting. These three pledges will hold candidates and elected officials accountable to their word to serve the people and invest in the health and well-being of our communities. Hear from People’s Budget organizers around the country and join with your questions and answers on how we can collectively work to #ReimaginePublicSafety.

  • WEDNESDAY, 3/23/2022 at 4PM (and every Wednesday) – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – Come out in beloved community as we take over the street in front of the Los Angeles Police Protective League office for a protest to #EndPoliceAssociations! Wear masks and bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication. Streamed live on Instagram at @blmlosangeles. 

  • FRIDAY, 3/25/2022 at 6PM – Stop LAPD Spying Coalition for SPRING INTO ABOLITION – Celebration and fundraiser to mark 10 years since the group formed. Stop LAPD Spying has been building community power against the police state, partnering closely with BLM LA to expose and dismantle LAPD's surveillance programs. This will be a LIVE and interactive virtual event with performances, storytelling, special guests, and collective learning.   • SATURDAY, 3/26/2022 from 3PM-6PM – People’s Budget LA Candidate Forum – Africa Town (Leimert Park Plaza) 4395 Leimert Blvd. – You’ll get the chance to hear from candidates on the ballot for the June primaries, including candidates running for mayor, city council districts, city attorney, city controller. Learn where they stand on the issues that affect Angelenos the most, what their budget priorities are, and have the opportunity to ask your questions and engage in a community conversation. The forum will be hosted by Black Lives Matter-LA and will be moderated by KBLA Talk Radio’s own Dominique DiPrima.
