  • WEDNESDAY, 9/1/2021 at 3PM (and every Wednesday) – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – The theme for this week’s action is: Fund Housing, Not Police and will focus on the city ordinance 41.18 which criminalizes sitting, sleeping, lying down or storing personal property in many areas of Los Angeles. Wear masks and bring your bodies, spirits, energy, drums, signs, flags and dedication. If you’re not able to come out, engage in virtual protest by tuning in to the action on Instagram Live @blmlosangeles.

  • THURSDAY, 9/2/2021 at 12 Noon - SB 2 - #KennethRossJr Police Decertification Bill Twitter Storm  – We’re at the final step to get the #KennethRossJr Police Decertification Bill through the legislature! We need everyone to tell your state assemblymember to VOTE YES ON SB 2. Hit them up on Twitter using the toolkit or retweet from @BLMLA.

  • SATURDAY, 9/4/2021 at 8AM – This Is Not a Drill! on KBLA Talk 1580AM or Facebook.com/BLMLA – Tune in for an important discussion on the California Recall election and why we must VOTE NO ON THE CALIFORNIA RECALL. Lola Smallwood-Cuevas, founder of the Los Angeles Black Worker Center, and other guests to be announced, will join the conversation. Hosted by our very own Sister Melina Abdullah.
