  • Monday, 3/15/2021 6PM – Survivors Speak on Community Violence and Safety in California at facebook.com/cssjustice – Join this important virtual panel discussion reclaiming the narrative on crime survivors, with Californians for Safety and Justice and Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice. Speakers include peace activist Aqeela Sherills (The Reverence Project), Tinisch Hollins (Californians for Safety and Justice), Rob Newt (San Francisco Violence Intervention Program), Ben “Taco” Owens (Detours Mentoring Group) and our very own Melina Abdullah.   • Tuesday, 3/16/2021 9:30AM – Los Angeles Police Commission Meeting on Zoom at https://lapd.zoom.us/s/289225944 – Let’s tell the Police Commission that “MooreMustGo!” Demand that they take action against Chief Moore. Coalition talking points here.   • Tuesday, 3/16/2021 7PM – Torrance City Council Meeting for #ChristopherDeAndreMitchell at TorranceCA.gov andfacebook.com/TorranceCA/ - To make a public comment during the meeting, call 310-618-2404 or you can email your comment in by 3pm to CouncilMeetingPublicComment@TorranceCA.gov. Please make comments demanding justice for #ChristopherDeandreMitchell, who was killed on December 9, 2018 by Torrance police officers Anthony Chavez and Matthew Concannon. The officers still haven’t been fired or prosecuted and Torrance still has no civilian review board to hold police accountable.

  • EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 3PM – Fund Services, Not Police! #EndPoliceAssociations at 1313 W. 8th St., Los Angeles – We’re taking down the police associations that function as organized crime, enabling killer cops, bullying and bribing elected officials, and criminalizing our people. Gather in front of the ACLU building…directly across the street from the headquarters of the Los Angeles Police Protective League. Bring your drums, bodies, spirits and dedication.

  • Wednesday, 3/17/2021 3:30PM – Public Safety Committee Meeting athttps://lacity.primegov.com/public/portal – TELL THE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE TO FIRE LAPD CHIEF MICHEL MOORE FOR HIS ROLE IN LAPD’S BRUTALITY AGAINST PROTESTERS! To make public comment, call (669) 254 5252 and use Meeting ID No. 161 586 7607 and then press #. Press # again when prompted for participant ID. Once admitted into the meeting, press *9 to request to speak. The Public Safety Committee will be meeting to discuss the independent report of the LAPD response to protests in May/June 2020 including an analysis of LAPD’s crowd control tactics and compliance with existing departmental policies and legal mandates during the civil unrest resulting from the death of George Floyd.
