·     THURSDAY, 1/7/2021 12-1PM – Progressive Justice Reform Twitter Storm – Get your Twitter thumbs ready! We’re taking to Twitter to push back against police associations and old-school prosecutors and to support the progressive justice reforms to which newly elected DA George Gascon has committed. Follow and retweet from @blmla and hashtag #StandWithGeorge.

·     THURSDAY, 1/7/2021 7PM – This Is Not a Drill! “The Continued Struggle for Justice for Oscar Grant” on  facebook.com/blmla – Oscar Grant was murdered on video on a BART platform on New Year’s 2009. His murder became the basis for the acclaimed film Fruitvale Station. Only one of the BART police officers who murdered Oscar Grant was ever prosecuted. We’ll be talking about the continued fight for justice with Ms. Wanda Johnson (Oscar’s mother), Cephus “Uncle Bobby” Johnson (Oscar’s uncle), Benjamin Crump (family attorney), and Minister Abdul Sabur Muhammad (family advocate). Sister Melina will host.

·     SUNDAY, 1/10/2021 7PM – BLMLA General Meeting on facebook.com/blmla – This month’s meeting will be virtual, but our work remains all the way REAL! Join as we “Claim Our 2020 Victories” and outline our plan for 2021…including our pushback against police associations. All are welcome, except police, elected officials and their staff, media, and haters.
