  • Aqeela Sherrills – lifelong campaigner against gang violence who lost his son to gun violence and has built a new vision for public safety;

  • Matthew Kahsay – student activist and member of March For Our Lives, the movement to end gun violence born out of the 2018 Parkland, FL school shooting; and

  • Trudy Goodwin – community activist and former member of the Black Panther Party, which advocated armed self-defense in the face of police brutality.
