SUNDAY, 2/18/2024 at 7PM – BLMLA Monthly Organizing Meeting at the Center for Black Power, 3423 W. 43rd Place, Los Angeles – Let’s have a conversation about what a People’s Budget can look like! Join the monthly organizing meeting to talk about how we can invest public dollars into the things that actually keep communities safe. Free hot and healthy dinner and fresh produce bags! Open to youth, elders, families, all Black folks, and non-Black allies. Donations welcome, but not required. Closed to police, press, elected officials, and haters.

The mayor has confirmed her attendance as Drs. Tabatha Jones Jolivet and David Turner present our survey and focus group findings, with special presentations on the youth perspective from our very own Youth Vanguard. Light dinner and swag.   • March is #BlackWomenAreDivine Month! – All month long we’ll be uplifting the legacy of freedom fighting, beautiful, brilliant, Divine Black women in honor of #BreonnaTaylor. The Los Angeles celebration of Black women’s divinity is set for Sunday, March 17th in Norman Houston Park. Stay tuned for information on how to participate, volunteer, and/or contribute.
